Recently I've been trying to connect my PS3 controller to my laptop via USB.
I had it working perfectly using the method in this video.
Problem is shortly afterward my computer crashed in a game (unrelated, battery fell out) and now the controller no longer connects properly. (In fact it wont even turn on when connected to the computer)
I've already tried re-installing drivers, and retrying the steps in the video in order.
I've tried many methods at this, but most others require a bluetooth dongle or just flat don't work at all.
Any ideas on what I need to do to get this working again?

I've been working on this a 3-4 days now, and it's disheartening to have the one method that actually worked, ruined by something so trivial.
