-I've seen this happen once before, but on a friends computer who then gave up on trying to fix it.
-I recently bought a 1 tb hd and have had to reinstall everything back on to it
- Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100427-1636)
-I got the latest version of the video card
-Verizion fios
-happened Christmas day when I installed it :(
Basically what happened, is I used to own renegade. Then lost a cd, so I bought it on amazon and reinstalled it with no problems. Then I lost a cd again, and again for Christmas got it off amazon from the company sold out software. This time when I reinstalled it, it automatically chose my old logon name and didn't give me a chance to register a new one. I alredy knew that I can't use the same sn I used before with the new serial number, but it was too late. So when I try to run multiplayer, it gives me version mismatch all up and down the game listing with red dots and all that. I tried logging in with a different random name, creating a new one, it doesn't work and EA support has been useless. Reinstalling the game did nothing as well. Help? I don't want to have to go buy it again..
