I'm not sure if this is a Renegade problem, specifically, but it's imparing my ability to play Renegade.
About a week ago, I decided to re-install my old copy of Tiberium Sun. When I installed it, I made the (probable) mistake of installing the Shared Internet Components also. I don't know why--I wasn't planning on playing TS online.
After a few days, I went back to Renegade. The game ran decently until I clicked "Westwood Online" under the "Multiplay Online" thing. The game would freeze for about two seconds, then crash to my desktop. I tried re-installing Renegade, but RenGuard gave me trouble when I had to patch Renegade.
Then I tried removing everything that has anything to do with Renegade from my computer (Renegade, Renguard, A Path Beyond), and reinstalling it all over again. When the installation for Renegade pops up, I have no text anywhere, as in the directions aren't there, and some of the text feilds don't work properly (The CD-key boxes, for example, don't let me see what I've typed). I managed to guess around the Setup program, but when I start renegade I have the same problem. None of the buttons on the menu work, and none of them have any text on them.
Now, I have a Renegade installed that I can't play. I have no idea what to do, since removing all things Renegade didn't work. I can't reformat or anything like that, since it's my parent's computer. Can anyone offer any advise?
