I have posted msgd probed proded with no explanations.
Rig: DSL Connection 640k up 5 mbps down DHCP Assignment, AMD SEMPRON 28+, 512 DDR2 ULTRA 400+ MB GF6400OC.

Synopsis: All installation of win32 fds renegade dedicated 1.37, sscp1 with Brentbot mirc etc.., corpatched, normal setup all good.
Problem:
Symptoms with earthlink total access setup connection thru WAN MINI PORT PPPOE the proxy servers assigment ip connection stays alive when luanching the fds all is good connection stays alive.

With out launching earthlink total access on server assignment ip DHCP, dynamic the connection is lost somewhere between connetion to WOL or after WOL Not sure exactly when and not sure why, connection is lost with browser ftp apache2 goes down no way in or out, have to shutdown pc and hardboot the system to get the connection normal again.

Anomaly: pinging the ip assigned get o% packet loss from dos window using fragmented packet control points showing no losses.

With internal firewall and with out firewall, both ways tried above on and off.

Also have assigned a different port for passing udp packets with in the server.cfg and specifically allowed rule sets for the ports same affects above instead of the default ports assignment at setup of win32 fds.

I have some knowledge of protocals networking etc.... this is very frustrating as running the fds on a limited 1mb connection thru the proxy servers is ok stable but not good for gaming to host. Dont Get It
