I'm working on a web based config manager.
It will allow people to edit the server.ini and svrcfg on the web, as well as give them the option to restart their fds server. Its not like FDSweb by djlaptop, because it only changes the ini settings.
can anyone help me out on the settings that can be changed on a server without having to restart it?
I know these work:
-Map time limit
-Credits on map relaod
-spawn weapons
-server title
-welcome message
if you change these settings while the server is running, begining from the next map the new settings will take effect. What other settings can take effect without having to restart the server?

I know you cant change the server title without relogging into WOL, which means a restart of the FDS.
I *think*
In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.
When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

SS217 | A) Needs a restart
B) Sounds like a FDSWeb rip-off much like JG is a rip-off to DS
|
A) looks like you can't read. FDSweb doesn't allow editing of ini files  I already said this is not like FDSweb, it only edits server config files
B) come with something more original then your copy of DS

lets try a post that isnt a flame for once, shall we?
i dont think there would be many servers that would find this of much use.
though i guess it would be usefull to clan servers where you wanted your clan mates to be able to config the server without giving them remote desktop access.

Aircraftkiller | And much like DS is a ripoff of BR.
|
1.) DS came before BR.Net, If you're talking about the original BR I don't see how you can even compare them.
2.) They're nothing alike.
|
honestly, who gives a fuck, as long as you have a good way to admin your server, its all worth while...
no point in argueing semantics... they all have one common goal, to admin your server remotely with more support then renrem.exe.

Pretty much all of them.
Friendly fire.
Building repair.
Beacons.
Credits.
You can even mess with the map order although its a bit unpredicatable.

snipesimo | Its a useless program that no one will use. It makes no sense and has no concievable use. Plus the theory itself is inconvenient.
Also, I have made a working fix for the BR .Net problem as well as countless mIRC script add-ons.
|
Your mirc scripts are useless and stupid and no one uses them but you.

THings you can do in FDS Config manager:
-Create custom rotations, have it set up so that you can have a differnt rotation any day of the week, it will automate "Mod Map Monday", "Friendly Fire Friday" based on the day you want.
-3 levels of configuration access: Select which users can change basic options (time, credits e.t..c), advanced options. You can give clan members access to only the configuration files if you don't want them to remotley access your computer.
-4 Brenbot support, change settings in BrenBot such as autoanounce messages, admins, remove/add people from the SQLITE database and change their ratings e.t.c.
I don't see any other web based application out there that allows you to do this, if you don't want to use it then don't. This will be more usefull then any crap your have release snipesmo.
