help with renegade installation [message #35262]

i just tried to install renegade and whenever i would click install it would then bring up a window that says "Setup has caused an error in setup.exe" i have tried going and clicking on the setup icon in e driver folder and i also tried using the auto start menu also have restarted and cleaned the cd but still doesnt work. can anyone help me out?

What are the specs of your computer? include DirectX version

make sure there arent any noticable scratches on your CD

make sure your computer meets the requirements

make sure windows(im asuming) is completly updated

make sure there arent any viruses on your computer, free online scan at http://www.housecall.anitvirus.com

diable other programs before you run the installation

Common problem, every one seems to get a diffrent answer.

1 solution, put your graphics and soundcards on their default settings on all tabs (both open gl and direct3d, reboot and try again)
