This is the Renegade 2 petition that will be sent to EA games to try and convince them to pick up thier work on it.... they cancelled the REn 2 project because they feel that it wont sell... Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

The only thing that would have encouraged EA to make a sequel is solid sales of the original. No amount of signatures are going to convince them otherwise.

Do you really think that everyone that signed would actually buy a sequel if they made it? I don't.

Think about it
The average game cost 50-60$
they would need to hit at least 6000 to make a good profit.
2500 x 50 - 125,000. which might be as much as the engine and staff cost.
and the thing that they need to make it work for windows from microsoft is a Stupid number! :twisted:

It will, the idea behind a petiton is to convince the company that there are enough people willing to buy this game, thus then they can make a sales based calcualtion on whever it would be make any money or just not be worth the bother.

Thus they are not so stupid to make a choice based on one type of calcualtion, although you may not think it EA does respect the fans adn they know without them tehre games wouldn't sell at all.

2000 ppl or however many people signed it now will mak no diffrence.

Now 2 Million would probably guarntee the games release Very Happy.

So everybody go sign 1000 times....

I want it to come out but what chance does it have in the mraket now? Halo PC port, Half-life 2, and Doom 3 will take control of the FPS market. Unless they plan on making Ren2 a few years from now I just don't see it happening.

Bah, who needs it? We already have Reborn and RenAlert coming out, as well as a WWII mod and I-don't-know-what-else. I'm sure someone will do a Generals conversion someday. Who needs Renegade 2 when we have all these awesome FREE mods, made by people who will actually SUPPORT them? Wink
