Well we've all seen the screen shots of the new Generals X-pack, and i have some ideas. Remember these are just ideas.

I have'nt really been a fan of Generals, but when I saw these pics, they reminded me of something. What if EA is just testing units, superweapons and such, so they get everything ironed out for Tiberian Twilight? I think the finally got it through their heads that Generals was a failure and are now aiming their sights towards another game.

Let's take the new tunnel network for vehicles for example. This is something we wouldn't even imagine in a modern war. TT yes. Generals no. I mean come on, this is something Nod would develop, not the GLA.

Next comes the microwave tanks, or whatever the hell they are. Come on, we wouldn't see these things for 10 years, I'd imagine this type of weapon on the Disruptor Mk II but not in Generals.

If you ask me, I think EA has kind of lost it. Or maybe not...

Thing is, Generals wan't a faliure even if you think it was. I don't like Generals as much as any other C&C game but for the first time loads of non C&C fans bough the game. I know 12 people who are not C&C fans who own the game so it shows you what effect it had. There is also an official expansion pack for generals in production.

I think we kinda got the word 'failure' kinda mixed up. When I think of it as a failure, I really don't think it lived up to its name, which is Command and Conquer Generals. From my perspective, I could hardly call it a C&C game. but that's just what I think.

I never said they weren't working on it. I said they might be testing some stuff in Generals.

Yeah, they registered (ra3.com) it when they started work on RA2, maybe a bit later. They probably registered TT.com when they were working on Tiberian Sun.
