I tried to uninstall the tt patch and cant even open renegade now, anyone knowledgeable willing to help?

What did you try? What is happening now? Note that TT also changed bandtest.dll.

And out of interest, why did you uninstall TT?

Why I would like to uninstall it is clearly your buisness guise. I just asked for help

But to stealtheye, I want to uninstall TT because i have a very noticible frame rate drop

NACHO-ARG, just get the server owner on the server(s) you play on to approve the files. It's unfortunate, but necessary to get some protection against "bad" model changes.

resistor1, thanks for posting the reason. I regret it that you chose to uninstall TT instead of searching for a solution with us though. Knowing the reason may still help us fix the issue if we see it happen for others too though.

I bet his problem is VSync. As in, the default configuration is VSync enabled (for whatever reason, I don't know. It's not good though.) and a lot of people might not know how to turn it off.

Are you getting an actual frame rate drop or are you just going by what the Wrost FPS counter says?

My FPS stays at 60 (before TT and after) however my worst FPS drops now and again but I don't actually see the drop if that makes sense.

Could you post specs?

TT were actually planning to remove that "worst FPS", but it somehow got forgotten. You shouldn't go by it.

Clients running at 60 fps well have physics that are more likely to match what the server is coming up with.

The vsync causes the reticle to respond really slow.
