Hi guys,
I have a serious issue with renagade, it constantly crashes while in game.
Well theres 2 types of crashes I get
The first I can cope with because I can just restart the software and its ok. (everything becomes see through and I can't figure out where I'm moving)
The other type is just a freeze, like a driver related type of crash, the computer just halts and I can't alt+tab to the desktop to kill the process.
I have renguard installed.
any other info require to help?

The 2nd one seems like an overheating problem. Try dusting out the inside of your computer with a vacuum cleaner. Also check if all your fans work.

ATI Graphics card? (Mere curiosity, I have one on a machine in this house and that PC likes to do the driver crash thing - definately not overheating, temp is easily less than 40C)
Have you tried using Scripts 3.4.4
NB: Do not check "Bloom" or "Shaders" in the installation process.

I have a nvidia
trying the script program will report back.
I don't think its over heating either because it was pretty recently that I cleaned it out (due to a over heating problem) but this second crash always happens during renegade and only during renegade.

would appear that script fixed it, played the game today and didn't crash ones.
will report back if it does crash, but otherwise the second crash problem is resolved and will assume the same for the other problem.

Appears I was wrong, it crashed after about an hour and 15 minutes of play (freezed), I have a feeling it may be related to sound, what driver should I be using in game for sound?

Wrt the freezing: did you check what I explained above?
It shouldn't matter which driver you select in the game.

Yes I did, you do mean about cleaning the computer right?
I'll try that.
any ideas about the first issue? that also happened again, it happens in a few ways, either I get into a veh and I get a 'stuck' view or fall below the map, or things just start going missing in the map including myself.

That's called "blue hell" and is a Renegade bug. Leaving the game and reentering it usually solves it.
