Sadly, petitions are worthless. I have seen petitions in the past with over 10,000 signatures requesting to stop or change something relatively minor, to no effect.

Do you really think a corporation would halt or change plans they have made and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on over the course of years, just because 200 random people don't like it? Especially when their marketing people are telling them that a million people WILL like it, which means money for them, which is their whole point of existence.

I honestly don't care if EA is going to make crappy games. As long as the games don't ruin the C&C legacy anymore.

Petitions don't work, man. Anyone remember the Renegade 2 petition? That got something like 2,500 signatures, the reality is they just don't work.

Even if Tiberium doesn't have anything like Renegade gameplay, who's ruling out the possibility that EA will make a Renegade 2 further down the line?

That would be a smart move indeed if Tiberium proves successful... everyone would buy it, I think.

Wasn't this exact thing posted already? Twice?
It seems every day is a repost day here at the Renegade forums.

Mhmh, that gets my mind sterin, I still think even if we all bought it and it became succesfull, EA see's a C&C Mode as apealling to only a very small group, so won't bother with a big release. My best guess says an expansion for Tiberium with added game modes (such as an included C&C Mode, or something similiar to it) Tell Me

Petitons won't work unless the petition says: "we are going to boycot "example game"". If you get over 5,000 signitures in that, they will bow to your demands.

I think you'd need at least 10,000 before they actually start to care. Based on the latest game sales, I can bet that Tiberium will sell something like 150,000 - 200,000 copies. They're not going to care if a few thousand people, let alone a few hundred, won't like the game.
