The reason 2.9 is the most used is because it's supposedly the most solid release. However, there are newer versions out that you can get. Jonwil made it.

You could always get newer scripts, and just not use the shaders... that shouldn't cause crashes and graphics errors... right?

No because the new scripts won't work without their shaders counterpart. I've tried.

If i had tah powah, i would create a 3.42-lite without the dx9 stuff.

But since pretty much lack skill, I have to be happy with what is offered to me. I consider 2.92 to be pretty classic. Outdated, but still a must have.

I'm not gonna say it is 100% safe, cuz if it isn't then you're gonna blame me for a virus or whatever. But! I never had anything go wrong with all the scripts versions I've downloaded BESIDES my renegade game, which you can fix easy.

i whould say 2.9.2 is liek 70 % safe and the newr ones are liek 40 % or lower
