Ok i am having a few problems, if just one is fixed the other may go away....
First, when i tried to install RenegadeFDS for westwood and typed in my username and password and serial code (i think it wanted the one on the back of my case :/ ) but no matter what, the next button stays un-clickable, all of the fields are full with my information, i don't know what the problem is.
I got around this by just installing it for gamespy, and then transferring the server.ini to the folder...which MIGHT have cause my next problem.
I click Renegade Server and it starts up and after 2 seconds it says aborting because no admin password. Well, i (think) i fixed that in the .ini file by typing a password in. I try again, this time my hopes get high as it does a bunch of stuff. Finally its saying its "creating game channel..." and im like "sweeeet" but then of course it doesn't work, it fails to create and retry-s over and over and i have to type quit to stop it.
What should i do?

if the serial that is supposed to be used is supposed to be the same as the one that came with renegade and is used upon installation then yes. Name and password good. Port is blank, i don't know what port?
(edit) - it says it should be left to 0 which it is... unless you want to specify....
(edit2) - ok, well i decide to do more tries, but it fails to log on, i onyl change i port and i changed it back and it still wouldnt log on, so i go into renegade and i cant connect online? maybe westwood online is actually down?

Try with a different serial and username/password anyway, just to be sure that's not the problem. As username, try using your own and as serial try using one of a friend.
You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

Good to hear it.
But its interesting because your screenshot say: Logged on OK (only failed to create game channel) and XWIS running on another IP.
Maybe this confuse my friends. But it doesnt matter. Its already fixed.

I had this problem awhile ago, thankfully NightMa put me right...
Please make sure that your serial number is correct, this is the serial number from your game (without the dashes), getting the serial number from the registry does NOT work...
Also check that your login information is correct... Can you acctually login to WOL with the username and password you have?
Hope this helps.

Contact me in msn or ICQ, and I will help you
When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"

Acctually this isnt true...
You can enter any serial number on the installer as long as it starts with 0669...
Please try to use your game manual/box serial number, if you have already then i dont know.
p.s.
You dont have to reinstall renegade FDS in order to change your serial, open server.ini and change it there
