Am i right to assume that you have at least connected to the net before trying it?
This is a signature. Reading this is wasting your time.

Errr....
I'm not sure, normally that message means that you're either;
A) Not connected to the Internet when you're attempting to run RenGuard
OR
B) Some firewall is blocking Renguard, it is possible that Windows firewall, being the sneaky and peculiar peice of software it is, is getting in the way. If you run Windows XP then you can follow these instructions and see if it works:
Start > Control Panel > (Press "Switch to Icon View" if you haven't got it on this already) > Windows Firewall
On the window that loads, go to the "Exceptions" tab, and then click the "Add program" button. ON the dialog box that then appears, click browse, and navigate to your Renegade directory (Unless you're using TFD, this is probably C:\Westwood\Renegade) and then select "game.exe" and then press "Open", Then press "Ok", Then finally press "Ok"
Helping?
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

Supporters of Proposition 8 will argue California does not discriminate against gays, as the current law allows them to get married - as long as they wed a partner of the opposite sex.
