The moment a teenage girl was stoned to death for loving the wrong boy

A 17-year-old girl has been stoned to death in Iraq because she loved a teenage boy of the wrong religion.

As a horrifying video of the stoning went out on the Internet, the British arm of Amnesty International condemned the death of Du’a Khalil Aswad as "an abhorrent murder" and demanded that her killers be brought to justice.

Reports from Iraq said a local security force witnessed the incident, but did nothing to try to stop it. Now her boyfriend is in hiding in fear for his life.

Miss Aswad, a member of a minority Kurdish religious group called Yezidi, was condemned to death as an "honour killing" by other men in her family and hardline religious leaders because of her relationship with the Sunni Muslim boy.

I find this incredibly sickening.

I decided to post this here because it's time to draw attention to more important issues rather than "troop(x) was cheating" or "stupid drama here [copycat/don imus/random stupid bitching about nothing even remotely important]"

this is more common than the self-diagnosis of asperger's in the goon population how is it obsCURE FUCKKK

I've heard about this a few days ago, it's not the first time either. Apparantely the woman (a Yazidi) was stoned to death for liking that guy and converting to Islam. The Kurdish are known for stoning people for stupid reasons like that.

Why the hell are we still in that shithole of a country? If shit like this is the norm, then how can we hope to turn things around?

Talk about "freeing the Iraqi people." What a crock. Just look at the freedom that girl enjoyed; she died for it. Tribal law still holds precedence over federal law in Iraq, especially with their FAILURE of a police and military force to enforce the law. The police and military are infiltrated with terrorists who steal weapons and uniforms and form the "death squads" you surely have heard about.

These people are overwhelmingly barbaric and uncivilized. There are literally hundreds of sectarian attacks each day and things are only getting worse, especially with Iran and al-Qaeda exacerbating the situation. The problem is doomed to keep spinning out of control because these people are obligated to engage in "revenge killings" if one of their own friends or family members is killed.

Doesnt surprise me, I mean, if they can kill hundreds in the terrorists attack on ground zero, one helpless lady who has emotions is nothing hard to them.
They probably loved every minute of it.

If you want to hear about some more atrocities in Iraq, take a look at this clip from the documentary "Iraq for Sale".
