Renguard Installation Problems [message #212326]

I couldnt unsitall it beause of an error, i cnt remember the error (what it said) anyway i got round to uninstalling renguard and now im trying to reinstall it now i cant. Heres a screen shot of the problem

Are you using "The First Decade" version of Renegade? If so I beleive it installs to a different directory than C:\Westwood.

huh? no im just installed c&c: renegade nothing to do with firs decade.. dnt no nothing bout first decade

The First Decade is just a box set that includes a few other games with Renegade. If you had that version though it installs to a different place.

As to it not detecting you Renegade install in c:\Westwood, well my first instinct would be to reinstall Renegade. That will at least eliminate a bad Renegade install as a possibility. Beyond that a real BHS Support member would have to figure out whats going on here.

Correct, you need to install Renegades latest official patch before you can install Renguard.

Explinations for bumping topic:

1.) Forgot I was looking at older threads.
2.) Goztow's link was not clickable and less accessible, also it brought me to a download section with no downloads.

Additional opinion: Whenever giving a link to the 1.037 patch, give the official link. Don't even tell people they need the patch to fix their problem without even giving them the link to get it.
