Ok for some random reason I decide to touch my video card one day when my computer case was open and when i did i discovered that it was really hot.like i mean hot if u were to hold ure hand there for like 2.5 seconds it would burn your hand.Is this something that i should be worried about, like will is eventually stop working or is it normal for it to get really hot?

I might have been over exaggerating on the buring your hand part but i believe it can burn you maybe in 4-6 seconds I dont kno but it is very hot.

Should i start looking for another video card?

I'm not an expert on this, but it might have to do with how you cool your computer.

If that really is the problem, make sure...

1) You keep that screen covering the fan clean (assuming you use a fan).

2.) Your computer isn't in a tightly closed area blocking airflow in/out of the computer.

3) You aren't leaving it on for more than 10 hours at a time.

I doubt any of this was news, but whatever. Sarcasm

PS: Hardware in a PC naturally heats up a bit, but I don't think it would be hot enough to burn your hand.

I once touched my heatsink and it almost like the equivalent of touching the rack in an oven. That's at 170F. If it felt like that, then that's bad. if it didn't, then it's probably at a normal level.
