Error Corrupted Files... on fresh install? [message #206631]

Hey ALl,

Been a while since i've played renegade, but seems its going alright. I first wanted to test it out again, and everything seemed fine, but then I thought hey renguard, is it still there?

So I got messages on servers about I need to install it.

Okay so I install it. Everything okay.

Then when I try to run it, it says, corrupted files, something about 2 maps, which I need to download from their links and put in my data directory.

I download them, and guess what, the zip files can't unzip cause they are corrupted...

Now what to do?

There's a difference between renguard and the core atches it downloads.

You can go in the options of the renguard client and disable core patches -> that's one solution. You'll use renguard but not the core patches.

The other solution is to install the standalone CP2 (I assume it's that one that's screwing up). There's a sticky about that in the core patches subforum Smile
