I refused to go on it, then I decided to just be a trend whore and register an account to say that I had one. I didn't use it for a while, but then a couple people I knew added me, and it actually became worth it to use. I got back in contact with an old classmate of mine and an ex-girlfriend of mine. Joining the site was worth rekindling the friendships.

whoa.

I like to keep my list small. No need to be "friendly" with people I don't like. Surprised

Yeah, I refuse to trash my "MySpace" profile with the garbage that most people do. It's scary... MySpace is really an insult to web design. I only have a profile because there's no other place to find people as well.

I'm the bawss.

lol Dave is this your comment on youtube?

DaveMasonDrummer (1 week ago)
watergrass, you're starting to piss me off. You call yourself a drummer but you claim these people are "just hitting stuff"?

You're doing this in every video page with pro drummers in. There's no way in hell you'd ever be able to do what these guys are capable of so shut the hell up and actually learn something about drumming before you come and act the big guy.

It is. It pisses me off when people claim certain drummers are "just hitting stuff". Especially when they obviously know nothing about such techniques as displacement and polyrhythms and elements of music such as time signatures and tempo.

To the average teenage moron, the faster you can drum, the better you are.

I'm a drummer and I've just been teaching myself for almost 2 years from watching people or listening to music with headphones and trying to copy the beats. I know nothing about polyrhythms or any of that other stuff you stated but I do know that drummers are not "just hitting stuff". That guy obviously has no idea what he's talking about... maybe when he plays he just goes off wildly hitting everything as fast as he possibly can and he thinks he sounds amazing haha

Here's a polyrhythm I've been playing quite alot lately.

It's in 15/16 which means 15 semi quavers (16th notes) per bar. If you listen to it when it's played you'll be able to hear two tempos going on at the same time.

The main lick is in 15/16 but listen to somebody play it and you'll hear that the ride is playing a straight 5/4 pattern (5 crotchets (1/4 notes)). This is a polyrhtym because technically, there are two going on at once.

http://f5.putfile.com/5/14415050255.jpg

Another example of a polyrhytm is say we can use our right hand for 6/4 our left hand for 5/4 and our feet for 4/4. There are infinate possibilities.
