My browser crashed, so here's the story as fast as I can tell it : I bought the game 3 years ago, played it a lot, stored it away for new games. Disc 1 got scratched. I want to play the game again, BADLY. I went out and purchased a Game. Dr. It actually let me start the installer, and I made it to 61%, which requires a file from Game7.cab from the Install folder on your CD1. I have manually "repaired" the CD 30+ times now. No luck. I scanned the CD's bottom for proof that the disc doesn't work ( I can scan the top too, if necessary). I was wondering if anyone could copy that Game7.cab to their harddrive, and host it on rapidshare.de. It takes ~30 minutes. I know, it is so much for a guy you don't know, but I don't have any other options. Once I get the file I will put that file, along with the others, on a copy of the CD, and will continue the install. My CD2 is fine looking, so that isn't a problem.

Buying a new copy of Renegade would have cost you less than a cd doctor. It costs around 5-10 € nowadays.
Or you could send it back to EA with 5 € and they'll send u a new one (after 3-5 weeks).

Of course I have a CD Key. It isn't my CDKey label that got scratched. Actually, it did, I and sent in for a new one.
Regardless, thanks guys, you really helped. I am back in the game and I love it.
