It's finally been announced by Namco. Check out the trailer at http://www.acecombat.jp

You play as a mercenary fighter pilot (Similar to the first two games in the series) who is hired by the Republic of Ustio, a nation that separated from the Principality of Belka. Belka attacks the nations around it after an extreme-right wing party takes power (Think KKK meets Republicans meets Stormfront.org, not the Nazis, who were rather liberal) and cause a huge war that apparently engulfs the world.

It's also coming out to the Playstation 2, thankfully.

Sweet, I'm getting rather tired of replaying Ace Combat 5 over and over. Nice find Aircraftkiller Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.

However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

Wow, The game looks better than ever. I can't wait, I hope the3re is some kind of aircraft customization feature in this game. It's something I always wished was in four and five. Possibly something like Custom insignias, like in the armored core series.

What else is this coming out for? I thought only the playstation 2.

I'd watch the trailer, but because of how brilliant Windows Media Player is, it is streaming it all wrong and won't save it in the cache after it streams all the way. In other words, there's no way I can watch the trailer without it going one frame every five seconds.

I tried both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I know what you mean, I had to get the whole trailer in 4 or 5 parts. Stupid they won't let you just save it.

...Zero?

At any rate, I love Ace Combat. Can't wait for zero to come out.
