I think the idea of a Filibuster is fine, I completely disagree with the current way in which they are using it.
If one party says they want to vote on an issue, the other party can simply "threaten" to filibuster, and the issue is tabled so they can move on with their business and go home early. If you're going to filibuster, then get on down to the floor and start talking bitch. Then stay there, continuing to talk, passing the floor on to your fellow party members for as long as needed to either get the floor to vote to end the filibuster, or vote on the issue at hand..

Filibuster is a waste of time and probably tax money, I wish it wasn't allowed.

Yes, that's what a filibuster is, and it's a perfect strategy to be used. The whole point of them being there is because we, the people, voted them into that position, so they're just doing their job and supporting the ideas and desires of those who voted for them. I know that if the democrats wanted to pass something I didn't agree with, I'd filibuster until they'd give up on passing it. They're doing their job.
