In an effort to keep these forums online during an attack, I'm going to require registration in order to read these forums for a while. (hopefully just a couple of weeks)
The attack requests a page over and over which eats up CPU on the server. Requiring a login would mean that his "bots" requesting the home page will just get a login prompt instead of a full page that needs database queries to generate.
I figured this guy would get bored but it's been a couple of weeks now of short-timed little attacks.
Sorry for the inconvenience to those of you who never registered and have to now. 
I'm the bawss.

I think it's a good idea. It should be permanant. Maybe I should do that for my forums...meh.

I don't think it should be permanent, just because it's entirely a forum, so if you have to get information you can't just search or anything....

Pretty ironic that as soon as I read that post the whole of these forums are down again under attack lol. Not for long though.
