Unfortunutly... How do you unistal Renegade? [message #103492]

I was going to ask Renguard Chat this question but some problems occured so here is the whole question.

I recently downloaded Renguard for Renegade and, it seems that some problems have occurred. While I did see the benefits of Renguard, it was not put to my use to equal to that use which it produced for me. For instance, I do not visit enough Rengaurd servers for a certain amount of time for that it to be a higher value to me. I do respect Renguard’s product but at the time It is not needed I would like to uninstall/remove Renguard currently from my computer. At a further time I may seek Rengaurd, luckily I know where to find it. If you could give me directions or direct me to a location in which I could find how to remove it, I would be thankful.

So how do you unistall it?

You can uninstall RenGuard from the "Add/Remove Programs" in your control panel. Although, you do not need to uninstall RenGuard to play Renegade w/o RenGuard. All you need to do, without the hastle of uninstalling something just to possibly get it again, is to point your Renegade Shortcuts to "game2.exe" instead of "game.exe"... this will Load Renegade w/o RenGuard for the time being.

Either way, you won't be RenGuard protected.

A problem in the add/remove programs is that it reports the size of Renguard to be the same as Renegade's, leading people to believe that uninstalling RG removes Renegade too.

There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly.

what you can do is, rename the current game.exe (RG) to Renguard.exe
and then rename game2.exe back to the default game.exe.
Then when you double click the Renegade icons from the desktop and/or start menu, it will launch Renegade instantly.
You will still have Renguard on your system, but it won't be launched when you load up renegade.
To get RG back again, just do the reverse from the above steps.

Create a shortcut to game2.exe -> No RG Renegade
Create a shortcut to game.exe -> RG Renegade

Question is:

Why the hell do want to not run RenGuard when you have it anyway LOL?
