HALO 2 or HALF-LIFE 2
I choose Half-Life 2, it will ship with HL2, CS, DOD, TFC, OF all on the Half-Life 2 engine which is exuse my french but out of this fucking world looking. I just can not wait for CS and DOD online iwth that engine, DOD will once again be THE number 1 WW2 game out there, CS will gain new strength with the graphics and duh Half-Life 2 , the game that started it all *PS: I also want to 0wn all of you in a few games of CS, DOD or HL2 when it comes out *

Halo is an OK game, but I don't really think it deserves all the publicity that it gets. It sure as hell isn't worth buying an XBox for.

I'm gonna chose Halo 2. I didn't like Half-Life, whereas I love Halo for Xbox and PC. From the various pieces of media I have seen (video clips, screens, etc.), it can only be even better than Halo 1.

I think the saying "Time will tell..." is appropriate here.
Neither game is out and I don't think we are really in a position to judge them based on what we know so far.
Personally, I think that Halo 2 will be great fun. I thought the first was fairly good, just needed a some gameplay changes to MP.
I think HL1 and everything derrived from it is a piece of shit. So if HL2 is in essence a beautiful version of HL1 with tremendous visual capability, I wouldn't play it.
But again, time will tell how fun these games actually are.

j4sp: Actually, that scene from Half-Life 2 looked much more badass. Just look at all the different lighting in the areas, and the aliiens are pretty tight, too.
Overall: Both games really good and worth buying, but Half-Life 2 wins.
