ack, just because the gameserver is up doesn't mean all of WOL is back up, there are at least 12 server applications that have to start before "WOL" is back up.

The ladder is meaningless. What almost everyone cares about is being able to use WOL.

He means there are lots of other servers besides the ladder server that have to be up for you to successfully authenticate to WOL.
