Thanks for welcoming me back. And yes I would consider using an aimbot cheating, even though everyone has the ability to download it. Why? you ask, well for one thing aimbots are programs that are integrated or augmented into the game. Second its not part of the game, and wasn't meant to be tweaked. Thrid you complain about skins which are visible? Westwood gave a contest about making skins, all be it a false contest but one none the less. Westwood fully endorses the changing of skins. Does this then mean that people cheat when they turn their screens up brighter in order to see things which they normally would not in dark spaces? Or does this then mean that people with more expensive vid cards and sound cards now hav an advantage and therefor are not allowed to use them? Of course this doesn't mean their cheating, but their still getting an edge above their opponents. What about switching to third person during the game to see around corners? I'm chaning a view to my advantage is this then cheating? Does this skin decloak the steath units? No it doesn't so anyone who can use a stealth tank or infantry should be fine. The fact is, is that youre upset because you've had to upgrade your skills while using a stealth unit. Many of my skins are true to life camo's and its extrememly hard to spot enemy infantry or vehicles but I don't complain. Am I justified in going up to the person who made this skin and telling him it made the game harder? No I'm not, but over time I've been able to improve skills on searching for and aiming at these units. So don't complain whether you like it or not the skins are here to stay. So you might as well just get used to it and learn how to deal with it.

Changing the steath skin to GLOW - like red/purple/pink neon - is cheating -

no one said anything about the other camo skins ---
i am more concerned with the straight out cheat of making the Steaths different than the standard white "stealth" look -
this has nothing to do with 3rd person view/changing your gamma settings/brightness etc... and having a HIGH end system doesnt give you an advantage on seeing stuff - other than you may have better FPS/load times then the next person.
it's making the stealths glow like neon - so you can pick them out better... (see - you can see the neon better?)
that is not cool...
and if you cant understand that - then i feel sorry for you and all the people that have to play with you...

okay fine, what if i just pasted white skins over everything except the stealth glow?... now i can see all those hidding snipers and units which are dark colored in dark places... but hey i'm not cheating am i? heck since i haven't changed the stealth skin thats not cheating is it?... oh and lets not forget about the beacon... how about i make its glow a nice bright orange.. not cheating you say? you know there are much worse things than glowing stealth skins but you don't seem to care about those half as much as you care about the stealth..

that's because the entire purpose of the stealth is to get somewhere without being seen. if you take that away, it is completely useless. as i have said, there is nothing wrong with changing skins as long as they are not changed for the sole purpose of making them more visible.

When you agree with skin using so i can do the same with sounds. Then i can hear everything what the enemy does....

I used to have the Bikini hotwire. Didn't make her any harder/easier to see. I agree that it is alright to use skins that don't allow the enemy to see certain units better.
(Don't have the skin anymore, recently reinstalled Renegade)

Far as I am concerned it is not cheating, it is in the game, its not even a bug, modding is supported by westwood. Thus it is not cheating if you are within the bounds of the game, ie. not adding programs to help your aim or aim for you, letting you see through walls, giving you extra cash etc. If it were cheating then skins which make snipers easier to see is cheating, skins that make beacons easier to find, skins which make c4's(all) easier to see, and mods which tell you how much time there is left till a nuke or ion is cheating. This is due to the very fact that these skins make it easier to see the units/objects which were meant to be hidden/hard to see. So jumping all over a skin that makes a unit easy to see, when you hit it, isn't cheating since I have seen many skins which have not in the least bit made characters harder to see. The only example is biowaves skins which look like real camo. And actually hide units making them harder to see. And since I make and use skins which make units harder to see should I therefore be rewarded since I have to work harder to see these units? Probably not, so don't punish people who use skins to make the stealths easier to see and just find a way around it.

We shouldn't "have" to find a way around it. Modding is supported when it BENEFITS the community. Mods enhancing performance are not beneficial to anyone except the people who D/L them. And there is no way "around" a skin that decloaks a stealth unit.

Well, if it is not any of your business, but c4kat is not my brother....my brothers online logins for westwood are c4puppy and bluefox71 and my other older brothers login is whitefox.......and no I have never played you back in the days when you were with that clan.... and don't get me wrong I don't give a f' about the name of it, so I won't call it by name... and 'back in the day' I never did play clan games... so just hush up little child... you've never played me....
