They want us to die because they think that we're out to get their religion. They're not out to get us because of our religion and freedoms. That's ignorance to think that they would give a damn about us if they didn't think we were out to destroy their religion.
Killing innocent people is protecting us? Okay, if some kids are throwing snowballs at my car, and I get out and start pelting everybody in sight including innocent little kids, that makes it alright because I was just protecting myself?

Actually, from what I have researched, othodox islam supports the concept of waging war. Now, mind you I haven't looked at the ancient texts and translated them, but the religion Osama Bin Laden seems to profess to SEEMS (and I say that EXTREMELY loosely) to support his cause.
I have not read the book of Sura, so I can't correlate with definitive truth.

No, you don't seem to have understood what he meant by "armchair warriors".
If I'm correct, it stems from the football term "armchair supporter", meaning someone who is supposedly devoted to the game but has never actually gone anywhere near a stadium. In this context, it would mean someone who's all for "bombing those damned terrorists, and too fucking bad if innocent human lives are lost in the process" but would never actually dream of joining the military.

I have family that were in Iraq. One of the leaders of my Clan was in Iraq. My cousin is a luitennant in the Navy, he's set for the middle east in 2006.
