Even in un-laddered games, you should ask the host before enabling extras... Some people might not like having half their vehicle slots going to weaponless, healthless sedans and pickups...

I found some extra characters too.

When you're in a purchase terminal, instead of choosing one of the 4 normal characters, press 6.

This lets you choose up to 10 more characters, including snipers and people with rockets!
