Call me jaded, but this is all stuff I'd come to expect and consider normal from the United States, self-proclaimed FREEST COUNTRY EVER!!1! I'd attribute this more to the changing world we live in, rather than some kind of conspiracy to turn the UK into Airstrip 3.

I can't remember which council it was, but down south they used anti-terror laws to check whether people were recycling properly =/
I'm definitely not voting Labour, but I'm unsure from there. Lib dem has definitely made some ground, but I'm unsure whether they are ready for government. Either way, it will be an englishman, I'm sick of the scottish pissing my country up the wall.
Labour has been a cancer for many years, lets get rid of it, one way or another.
I'm going to be watching the other two televised debates, ready to watch them all squirm over the price of petrol. It's getting ridiculous now, I'm sure its some where near 90-95p of it is tax..
Talk about severely handicapping its own people and economy...

i think i recall the terror/recycling incident you mean, unless there was more than one case... which there almost certainly was.
ironically some of bin laden's videos urge us to be greener.
they also used anti-terror laws to freeze iceland's financial assets (probably what pissed them off enough to launch the superweapon at us).
