Here's a nice rule of thumb. Track the total time put into it. If it's less than, say, 10-15 minutes, then try thinking of more ways to improve it.
Ver. 2 is better, but still lacking in my opinion... I can't read the font either. Maybe make a companion skin for the MCT? Like one that says "Building Health-o-meter (lol?)" and make a skin for when it's still alive or something.
