Im quite sure EA didnt delete / lose the files. If you check out the old intro movie on youtube you will notice a flamethrower infantry. Which resembles the blackhand from cnc3. (Even the third eye thingy or what it is). Only it doesnt have that cape.
Even the flamthrower it has matches quite a bit.
As far as EA goes all the stuff in the old Renegade is still worth of ideas or as usage of concepts. Since EA (mostly) is good ideas for cnc, I doubt they have deleted the old Renegade stuff.

They probably have the assets left, but its not like they just changed it all at once. It's like asking me if we still have the renegade-x build from when we did the new years trailer. Of course we don't it's been added to and modified since then.

The map is budding with new ideas and great game-play, AitcraftKiller just has to get to the root of the problem, it seems to have him pretty stumped right now.

Anyway, this thread is really starting to lumber along, all this over some sap's map? I thought the game was dead, but this thread at least is poplar. It makes me pine for the days of yonder.

Jeez, you could at least have explained what exactly we were asking for... For all we know, he never even played Renegade!
Maybe you could ask for EA's permission to release the beta? An official statement that the original confidence contract is no longer of any value towards them and that they accept the official release by the original beta testers?

its easy they can use it for other games like cnc3. If you look at multiple assets like the old single player powerplant. Which happens to match allot with the cnc3 powerplant. (you should check the beta movies from tesla7zap on youtube)
These assets are simply design stuff that ea can easily re-use.
