I got C&C [original] but i don't particularly like it. same for TS:FS

Just takes too long. in Total Annihilation, fights are short but bloody.
In a one on one infantry battle in C&C whoever fired first wins. It takes about 20 seconds to kill a soldier with another soldier, and the one who lives is the one who fired first.

Same here. I have the original C&C for DOS and the 95 version. I have RA1 for DOS and windows too. I managed to get the dos C&C original to run on XP PRO by forcing it into win95 compatability mode but it plays so da*n fast that a 30 min succesfully completed mission turns into a 10 second failure mission. It goes so fast, that you can't even contral it or press ESC before you hear a "Mission Failed".
