Our team starts to get ahead in points just slightly, and then everyone starts to think that they're Rambo or something. The all decide to jump into ****y little APC's or Humvees or the NOD equivilant, and kamikazee the enemy base. I don't know about you, but I love feeling like the smart, responsible one who stays and tries to keep the base defended or on line. The only problem with the ones who go vigalante on me, is that at the same time, so does the enemy team, from the other direction. They all get to my base, and well, there went out slight lead, to a major defeat. I usually end up dying about 15 times trying to run back and forth defending, repairing, and haplessly trying to plant what little C4 I have on a heavily armored vehicle, only to be run over before I can get close enough. It's times like this, where I wish I was playing on a Clan game, at least Clans really know how to use teamwork...

I know what you mean,it is annoying when you begin an APC rush, only to meet a enemy tank out side your base and the mission goes to hell.
I try to report every time, and people ENEMY SPOTTED is not very helpful when reporting oncoming apcs as we could think that you could mean somewhere/something else

Least I managed to get 0 ladder points, everyone else lost 60+...bunch a n00bs

Thus the point of this thread, to vent whenever your team acts like a bunch of...well...new guys. "We can take out thier turrets from here!!" <-- case in point

this one guy bought a flame tank.. and another bought a troop carrier thing. forget the name.

so i thought ye lets go.. made myself a tech and bought a flame tank too.

we rushed the gdi tower and just about detroyed it .

second time, 3 flame tanks. you make so much credits hitting buildings with flame tanks as soon as you get killed just respawn and try again.

anyway 3 flame tanks and we rushed it again, just about detroying it again.

3rd time it was 2 flame tanks and a personell carrier thingy and we wasted the tower. gdi was history after that, but it felt so great to have team mates who worked together. I would like to add that the other folks on my team did do a great job of defending.

It was back in the demo when the under map was unbalanced slightly in favor of the GDI and i was playing on a server with unlimited time where you could choose team. After i had played on the server for a few hours in which GDI had won all the games i ended up on a 7 player NOD team against a 11 player GDI team. We were however 4 elite players (me, Vodooboy8,[DS]Zewy and [AWD]Cubex) ,2 of which were clan leaders, and 3 mediocre players on the team. We were under attack right from the beginning and we soon had a big bunch of mammoths (without engineers) shooting at our base. I was running around repairing whatever they were shooting at and got help from others when things got really hot while Zewy was sitting out of the enemies' range in his artillery and wasting them and Vodooboy8 was shooting at them in a stealth tank with heavy engineer support. We fended off attack after attack that way but even though we didnt lose any buildings they were getting far more money than they were spending so we had to do something. About 1 hour into the game we agreed that we had to launch an APC rush as raw power was out of the picture so just after we had fended off an attack 4 hotwires got into the APC and though there were a few mammoths exiting the base we managed to get past them and blow the AGT to hell. Needless to say the enemies began to leave the game until we were eqaul numbers and we won soon after. It just felt so great to win an "impossible game" by playing as a team.

That is one thing that I never like to play with, is being a defender and having newbies use the rush tactics using APC/HUMVEES and then leaving them for the enemy to take them.

I remember one time on Hourglass while using a Mammoth as Base Defense, a newbie took a apc to rush the nod base, apc comes back a few minutes later under nod control. I see the nod icon and open fire. Newbie teammates yells at me using foul language. Later on am all alone while newbies does another apc rush and then here comes 10 flame tanks over the hill. I know that my Mammoth alone cannot take on all 10 flame tanks, so telling newbie teammates about the flame rush they tell me to (another use of foul language). Well I decided enough was enough and bailed the game.

That map is definitely not for laggy games. I always run into the rocks because of lag!!!!!!

I spent most of that game running from building to building repair stuff and the ever present crys of "I need repairs!"

once I was playing a game with hardly any lag and when i had the cash I bought myself a Mobile arty and sat just outside the gdi base (i think the map was volcano) and destroyed the barracks and Tib-ref. But unfortunately for me I lost connection..

These were games where nobody on my side was playing as a team. I think the opposition was because they always had two or three units attacking at once.

I also once spent nearly a whole game repairing some guy in a MLRS who just sat at the enterance to our base. Of course that didnt stop the SBH's from entering our base via the tunnels and wasting our base.

I thin kif the lag gets fixed I could really get into team play. But until then I will be a repair guy.

I was on a hourglass map this morning full of newbies. Most where flooding the server with "I need Repairs" causing hugh amounts of lag. Tried my best to keep playing but after being killed 3 times by the lag I just decided to bail and put the server on my personal blacklist.
