i i have a pentium4 1800 and a g force3 and i only get like 5 fps in big games and about 40 in 4v4 games and 50 fps in 2v2 games i would like to hear how the radion 9700pro works for serious renegade players

I have a Radeon 9500 Pro. It is the same chip as the 9700, but with a 128-bit memory controller instead of 256-bit.
I honestly don't know why you only get 5fps on a GF3. I got better than that on a GF2GTS.
However, on my system, with a 1.1ghz Athlon, I get around 40fps in 20-30 player games. I don't really play much higher than that, so i can't tell you what it would be like in 40p or higher.
The number might sound low, but keep in mind I'm talking about a Athlon 1.1 (100mhz FSB) with 512MB SDRAM. I also play in 2XAA/16XAF for great image quality, which drags my fps down. I belive if I turn it off, I'll get around 60fps in 20-30p games... but then it would look shitty.

Even with my old GeForce 2 MX 400 I got 30 fps in a 32 player game. I'm sure you must have something setup wrong. My clan friend has a GeForce Ti 500 and he gets 50+ fps online so you must be doing something wrong. I know this may sound dumb but are you sure your monitor is plugged into your GeForce 3 and not some onboard video socket? Anyway I would say that you have something setup wrong.
