Can you try going to your Renegade folder and running mixcheck.exe with administrative privileges?

Yeah, norton was blocking the mixcheck.exe from running. Disabled the shit and now everything is working fine.

I cant believe people still use that garbage, I stopped using Norton on any PC I control years ago and my systems are much better for it (I use AVG myself but there are other options)

I hate it as well. But, I just got done restoring my laptop, and it comes installed on it. First thing I did after getting IRC and TS was go to install Ren and had problems because of Norton.

I prefer Kapersky over anything. Never ran into problems with it.

whats wrong with AVG?
I use it because its 100% free (assuming you use the free version and not the for-pay version with the extra features I dont need) and does the job.

If I could be bothered, I might dump AVG and install the Microsoft Security Essentials or whatever it is.

I used AVG free myself until I tried Microsoft Security Essentials, and now I use that and haven't turned back. Works like a charm. Big Grin
