OK so when I start ren, it says "new version available" or some shit.
I tried all the steps n whatnot with CP2, no success.
the RTP file seems to be corrupted, and indeed when I run patcher, it says "invalid patch file".
I run windows 7 64 bit, so should I just give up cause i'm fucked?
on an unrelated note, when i try and start from cd now, it says "mss32.dll missing"
if anyone could shed some light it would make my day

ok i'm stuck on the cp2 part when you run patcher.exe,
i think it's stuck
it says:
Now patching data\C&C_FieltTS.mix
Applying ADD File Patch for 'data\C&C_FieldTS.mix'
Adding New File
and nothing else....
also, when I try to start renegade from disk it says "eject and try again" or something

I have no clue. I'd say reinstall completely using our reinstallation guide (sticky in the "renegade client" forum).
