It's probably a large texture file. The larger texture files give a higher quality of the texture, although in Renegade, textures are often taken down in quality simply because of the engine/whatever. In short, Renegade textures aren't as good as say, CoD4 or Fallout 3. Although this one turned out nice.  
 
I'm actually considering using this, no matter how much Scrin's annoyed me in the past. And the fact that there's only one laser pointer is realistic.

		thanks for the positive feedback on my skin for it.. but it's very simple really lol 
 
1. Google Search camouflage texture 
2. Copy & Paste, the one i found was a lot smaller so I just duplicated it to fill in the gaps and hoped it wouldn't be noticable. 
3. Merge all the camouflage layers, and set the blending mode to overlay. That gives the gun the design of the texture, but keeps the gun's details still visible.
