Ah, I don't know, anything really, can you make them more real, maybe do different versions, soild rocks, sand, greener hills, snow?
Hmm, anything other then the standard.

The hills on my islands have textures that make them look like solid rock, then sometime I like to have it snow so I have snow mountain style rocks.
