It say's to put your pics in there well i did a background only saved it index.htm like it said put the pic in with the index.htm file loaded the site and all it showed was the background nothing else
I would like to do more than just the background.

Very simple example:
1. open notepad
2. save file as index.htm
3. enter this code
<html>
<head>
<title>This is my website's title</title>
<body background="yourbackgroundimage.jpg">
</head>
<img src="userthislineforanimage.jpg" border="0">
<br>
Type text in here and <b>use these to make it bold</b> or <i>these for italic</i> or even <u>these for underlined</u>. A "BR" equals "enter":
<br>
<br>
New alinea here ;). <font color='red'>Font tags allow you to change many things, like for example the color</font>
</body>
</html>
4. save file and double click it.
I hope this helps.

If it's possible to customize the page, it'll be somewhere in the code, anyway. I know next to nothing in programming, but I always look through the files to see if I can find what I'm looking to change.
Maybe I'm being quick to assume because so many people are lazy to search, but I'm willing to bet that he didn't spend any extensive amount of time going through files or searches to find the answer he was looking for. I don't doubt that he tried, but I don't think it was a reasonable amount of time spent.

He doesn't want an FTP daemon, he wants a script to mimic one on the HTTP protocol. Like i said, you need a very specific search to find the right answer.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with asking questions. I haven't seen him asking tons of diferent questions before, he's not spamming the board with requests. One request isn't something to get worked up over.
