Hey all,

I was wondering if the patch is going to resolve the very anoying "Renegade Stopped Working" bug. I got this bug ever since I runned Vista, but maybe people of windows XP also got this bug. The bug in question is a very rare but not rare bug, one time he's there, the other time he's gone. I get this bug while starting up Renegade, most of the time full-screen, sometimes also running in windowed mode. I'm used to run another Full-screen game to fix this anoying bug. sometimes it's gone after running the other game(in this case, Guild Wars) but sometimes it won't disappear, does anybody know if the new patch is going to fix this, and if no then PLEASE can you do something to it, I really hate it when people ask me to join a server, and then find out I can't because of this anoying bug.

EDIT: I get the same message("Renegade Stopped Working") while running the mods Reborn, APB and since I'm a BHP tester, also AR)

should be fixable by changing game.exe or game2.exe compatibility issue settings

Its probably just a crasher, it might have already been fixed, but can you check your main renegade directory for crashdump files? They will be .txt files with a number like crashdump1.txt (and so on).

there is one yes, but without a number. + it has crashed way more times then only 1 time.. oh and it crashes BEFORE the screen gets black and goes to the intro and AFTER the Renegade start-up thing(the little on on the desktop)

The Vista/Server 2008 crashbug is fixed for sure. It was being caused because Vista/2k8 are both version 6.0 and Westwood assumed 5.* could be the latest (XP was 5.1)

It's fixed in this patch and RR (Renegade Resurrection)
