I tried the "reset passwords" thing without the quotes in empty chat. nothing shows up. am i doing something wrong?

You have to login with the wrong password to be able to reset your passwords. Also, check the 'Registering/deleting a nickname on WOL (Xwis)' topic stickied in this forum, it tells you exactly how to do it.
