Any way to see which models renguard is nagging about? [message #269240]

Hi,

since ive recently updated my renguard i keep getting a warning message telling me im using models although i havent installed any (at least not to my knowledge).

because im not really into models id like to "clean" my renegade install of these models, the problem is, i dont know where to look for them cause i dont know their filenames.

things ive installed are:
renguard 1.0323
scripts 3.41
ubermappack

solutions are greatly appreciated.

To "clean" your Renegade install, simply delete the following from Renegade\Data:

*.dds - textures
*.w3d - models
*.tga ; with the exception of "gamespylogo.TGA" - textures

* = any

Should solve all of your problems, and should help out later down the line. Big Ups

If you're using any models it doesn't like, it'll tell you exactly what they are. You're probably talking about textures, which are fine unless you want to play on a pure server (which there were zero last time I checked).

scripts 3.2+ come with textures (.dds-files) which probably is what you're referring to. I think it are the bump maps for the mammy and flamer. They just make these units look better.

thx for your answers, indeed the only files i could find in /data were .dds files.
most of the filenames were something like:
hud_cnc_whatever.dds

but i guess my problem isnt really a problem after all, since youre saying there arent too many pure servers out there.
i didnt know how to check so i just assumed most of the servers were pure servers and therefore wouldnt let me play...
