whenever i try to host a game it just shows the "GAMEPLAY IS PENDING" thing and it never disappears so i cant play

Set the number of players to one, or use the Resurrection mod (www.icefinch.net)

Turn the dedicated server option off. You still will see the message until someone joins, or if you set the players to 1 (which you'll play by yourself).
