I just updated new Renguard and now nothing works. When I try to play I get one second of intro music then it crashes to desktop. The program doesn't close it just freezes and kicks me back to desktop. Any ideas I forgot I'm running Win XP

Seems to me like a Renegade error and not a renguard error.
Have you installed core patch since the new renguard or installed anything relating to Renegade, other than Renguard? Did you try a simple computer restart? That's often a solution to many problems.
