I recently bought a new laptop, an HP DV9210us. It is running Windows Vista Premium Home edition.

I Installed renegade and tried running it and got the message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

I tried running it in XP SP2 Compatibility, Same deal.

I tried running it in Win 2000 Compatibility, no dice. Dont Get It

Any suggestions? I REALLY want to be able to play Ren on the go. Listen

The most expense vista is the one to work. The Others are like Windows ME with better graphics.

Angry Thanks Microsoft for that Angry

Do you have Renguard installed?

If you do, you should try setting both game.exe and game2.exe to the SP2 compatibility modes. At least, that's what I did with RC1 to get Renegade to work. No idea if that's the case in the final build, because I haven't gotten Renegade installed on it yet!

But it's still something to try.

Tbh this doesn't supprise me those Compatibility mode's work part of the time anyways. Nevertheless it stupid that it doesnt work.
When I installed XP sp2 and Ren after my game would always freeze/hang. I found a solution for this back in then I heard of people who didnt have any problems with it. So I guess its about software/hardware configuration aswell.

Try running in admin mode if you're not already.
