Download Maps Idea [message #215429]

In order to play on a "new maps" server you currently have to often search for hours trying to find a map download site for the server that is actually running. So, why not include in the core patch an option to either download the map while waiting to join the game if your connection speed is fast enough or be given an option leave the game and be given a chance to download the map and try to play on the server once that is done.

In otherwords, why hunt for a download link? If you don't have the map for the server you want to play you should be able to download the map from the server without hunting for a download site.

UNRULES.com has all the maps you would ever want. They update regularly with new maps. If you decide to use them, unzip the map packs into your Renegade/Data file.
