Renegades wont install.
I start the install but before anything happens it says something like (setup had to end ) but dissent give me a error # or reason.Ive tried disabling the anti spyware not sure if that would have done anything anyway.Still nothing .
I have
Windows Xp Home Edition
Ver 2002
Service pack 2
Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Lmao Renegades, i dont know why thats so funny to me.
Ok well, do you have a official cd or a burned ware? Either way check your cd's for scratches and blemishes. Take a screenshot of whatever the window says when it crashes.
Several things can cause the setup to crash. Bad cd or even not having the video decoder for the intro movie.
EDIT: Oh and this should be in another forums. This will be moved to the tech support section shortly.

Hi thanks for the reply.
Its a new cd not a copy ive checked it out for scratches there are none.Im not sure what it is.I installed it on another comp fine about 2 months ago now it wont install on diff comp.

Oh well send a screenshot our way. I dont know you, so i dont know your knowledge of computer functions. To take a screenshot simply:
Hit the Key "Print Screen"
Open MsPaint
Goto "Edit" ~ Paste
Save to your desktop ".jpg" if possible
Then hit reply on this topic, under your window it will say "Browse"
Click that button and find the image you saved to your desktop.
Now hit the upload button, now your image will be avalible for us to look at.
Forgive me if you are more advanced than this tutorial, i just wanted to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Delete all the files/folders it has managed to install before it crashes, then make sure you delete the registry files;
Start -> Run -> Type 'regedit' without the '' -> Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood -> Delete the whole folder -> Reattempt your installation.
I was having a similar problem earlier today and found this to work for me.

A guy I know who works in Tech Support says that most of the problems that he's come across can be solved simply by restarting your computer. Other than that, I don't know what the problem could be.

wait...
so when u try to install it shows u the window but then closes?
open it from the cd itself.
or run it in windows 95 or 98
and set to 256 colors

Nah, the install screen comes up then i select install and it starts but just as it is about to install it say that setup has encountered a problem and has to finish (sorry for the inconvenience) there is a huge incon cause i cant go and kill everyone again lol oh well thanks for all the replies i might just buy a new comp and be done with it.
