I found out that doing the following operations fixes alot of problems you may have
with your renguard. such as server disconnects, unoutherize file entries, uninstall
and install problems.
If you get an error, do the following
>>> Run the Renguard un-install program, once completed, return to desktop
>>> Start > Run... > regedit, and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - software - blackhand studios - delete registry if there.
>>> Delete any mod files, not original renegade files
>>> Insert renegade disk 1, explore it and find setup folder and run setup.exe
>>> Install whole thing. it will go fast because it just replaces the old files.
>>> Find and download the latest patch (12.07.05, latest is 1.037) install it.
>>> If you want no-cd patch install it now. get it from becon pedestal (renguard compatible)
>>> Re-run renguard installation. then CONNECT to the internet
>>> Run renguard, disable core patches for now, now check if you WOL login is the same as RG login, if so play renny!
