I just thought up this idea that doesn't sound half-bad. Well it seems to me that some people have problems installing their Renegade programs in the proper order, then they have to uninstall and reinstall everything because of one small error.

So, I thought of an "update everything" installer for Renegade, that installs everything in the proper order after installing the game. I know that when downloading ATI drivers, you can download a single .exe that installs 3 drivers, one after the other. Maybe something similar can be done to cut down on reinstalling time and even reducing the errors made by installing improperly in the first place?

After installing Renegade, all one would have to do is run the .exe and it would install the patch to version 1.037, install a no-cd patch, install the current version of RenGuard, and install the current Core Patch. If anyone at BHS or anyone else can do this, this can save a lot of people a lot of hassle, except of course, for the large file size for those who are unfortunate enough to have dial-up. Wink

I thought of it, too..

An app, that creates a iso file out of your renegade cds and puts 1037 on it, and then Core Patch 1/2 and RenGuard.

Same with FDS - packages with everything up to date..

Someone has to do it though Wink
